Our affordable low cost services include: complete oral health assessment; removal of tooth deposits - plaque, calculus, stain; x-rays; application of fluoride; protective sealants; oral health education including dietary counseling.

Low-Cost Dental Hygiene Clinic Since 1986

VCC Dental Hygiene students provide clinical care 12 months a year all supervised by experienced instructors. 

Ø  Screening Appointment Takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Screening is a way to determine your dental hygiene needs. Clients who are accepted for care are charged a $5.00 fee that is applied to future services.

 Ø  After Screening If your case meets dental hygiene learning needs, a student will contact you. The number of appointments is different for each person depending on need.

 Ø  Time We usually need approximately 6 appointments of about 2 ¼ hours each. Appointments are scheduled weekdays, and begin at 9:00, 1:00 or 5:00 promptly.

 Ø  Fee for Dental Hygiene Care at VCC is $30.00.

 Ø  The VCC dental hygiene clinical program cannot meet all dental treatment needs.

 Ø  We cannot accept dental insurance or social services claims. Also, your MSP medical does not cover dental care.

• Patients must attend a short screening appointment to determine eligibiltiy for treatment.
• If you are eligible for treatment your name will be put on file. A dental hygiene student will contact you to set up appointment.
• Each appointment may be as long as 3 hours.
• The number of appointments depends on condition of teeth & gums.
• We will present a treatment plan with estimated numbers of appointments, cost, benefits of treatment, risks of treatment and expected outcome of treatment after completion of a comprehensive assessment of your mouth.
• Treatment is supervised at all times by  licensed Dental Hygiene instructors.

FEES:   The fee you pay covers only the materials used during your treatment.  You will be given a cost estimate prior to start of treatment.
